The Hemline Youth Studios
Welcome to The Hemline Youth Studios, where the next generation of cultural critics, stylists, and documentarians tell it how they see it. From neighborhood stories to identity reflections, this space honors the voice before it’s polished. This is also apart of The Hemline Mentorships program.
THE HEMLINE
YOUTH STUDIO
“Where future storytellers begin.”
The Hemline Youth Studio is a storytelling collective led by writers, artists, and observers ages 13 to 18. We cover wellbeing, culture, memory, and the world around us—from street corners to school hallways.
We’re not interested in perfection. We’re interested in presence.
Our voices are not waiting to grow up—they're already here, paying attention.
This is youth journalism reimagined: honest, visual, and stitched with care.
“We’re not waiting to grow up to be heard.”

Youth Studios
Young people are not the future.
They are now—the keepers of memory, the holders of vision.
At The Hemline, we believe legacy doesn’t begin after death.
It lives in mentorship, in storytelling, in the quiet power of being witnessed.
It lives when young people are not spoken for, but spoken with.
This is where youth are not just included.
They are centered. Guided. Trusted.
Because their wisdom isn’t waiting to arrive.
It’s already here.
